Connecting
The setup says it cannot reach Manager. Can I continue? Yes. Create the connection and click Test Connection on its Overview once Manager is reachable. See Connect Manager.io to eScanX.
I entered the wrong business. Can I change the address? Not after the first successful connection. Create a new connection for the other business.
Where is the Field Mapping tab? Manager connections do not have one. Manager works with forms and rules; column mapping exists only on file-export connectors.
Documents
A document stays in Draft even though I did nothing wrong. Draft means "waiting for a person". Open it: the orange notes next to the Verify button list what is missing. See From upload to Manager entry.
Auto-verify does nothing; documents stay in Draft. Almost always one of three settings: the warnings hold, a missing "Absorb into account", or "Inventory enabled" on for a supplier whose purchases are expenses. See Rules and automation.
The total says "differs from AI read" by one cent. Printing rounding. It does not block verifying. Set Small Differences: Absorb into account and the cent books automatically. See Every setting explained.
I uploaded an invoice but it became a payment. The tab you upload on decides the entry type. Delete the document and upload it again on the Purchase invoice tab.
Why is "Set to draft" greyed out? The document has synced. The entry exists in Manager, so the document cannot be reopened.
Tax
Every line shows "Select…" for the tax code. Tax codes are filled by rules, and a new connection has none yet. Pick the code once per rate and keep the proposed rule; the next document fills itself.
A Finnish invoice shows "Kept in cost". Check the supplier's country on the document. If it is not your registration country, the tax is treated as foreign. Correct the country and the pickers return.
I changed the country and my tax code did not disappear. Intended. A code you picked, or a rule filled, is never removed by a country change. Clear it yourself if it should go.
Rules
The dialog "Remember this for next time?" keeps appearing. That is the "Ask me before creating a rule" setting. Switch it to "Create rules automatically" or "Never create rules" on the Rule settings tab.
A proposal is marked Conflict. Two lines with the same details chose different accounts, and no rule can express that. Edit the conflicting row's conditions so the two lines differ, then verify.
I want a rule to stop applying without deleting it. Rules tab: switch it off. It stays in the list and can be switched on again.
Sending to Manager
"Not synced yet" on a verified document. Click Sync Now in the top bar, or switch on "Send to Manager when verified" for that entry type so it happens by itself.
The sync failed. The History tab shows the error text and the next retry time; retries happen automatically. Once the cause is fixed, use Re-sync on the document.
What exactly is sent to Manager? The supplier or customer (created if new), the dates and reference, each line with its account or inventory item and tax code, and the totals. Nothing is read back except the lists used for matching: suppliers, customers, accounts, tax codes, inventory items, bank accounts and employees.
